Just buy a new Camaro

What could be worst than what Chevy did to the new “Camaro”.
What this owner did to his classic 1969 Camaro, trying to make it
look like a 2010. For God’s sakes…if you want a new Camaro…
buy a new Camaro!
Let’s see, if I want my 1970 Challenger to look like a new Challenger
I would have to change……..NOTHING…..(Because Dodge did it right)

WOW way to fail... epic. What a waste of a nice car. I really respect the 67-69 Camaros and love the americana they represent. But this car is terrible and needs some tlc to take it back to the past.I know its a 70s but I still feel bad for that car.

You guys are tough. I don't care for new Camaro (chesire cat grill, fat butt). While I respect the guy's originality and craftmanship, his end result magnifies and makes a caricature of the Camaro heritage. Never did like orignal Camaros much either...chick's car IMO.

I'm with you guys. The owner of this Camaro really wasted a lot of time and effort in trying to turn it into something that it is not.

personally i have seen a lot worse done to corvettes.

also one other thing to keep in mind, he probably didnt start
with an original camaro as you can pretty much buy everything you need now
to build and entire 67-69 car from the ground up
couple of examples

complete shell

complete chassis

one of the hot rod shows on speed built an entire brand new car a few years ago

As that goes...when I was doing the body work on the 1970 (like 17 years ago) there were no reproduced sheet metal parts. You had to try find good used, or make your own panels. Most used parts all had the same repair need issues. I learned to fabricate and weld...probably over 50 repairs big and small...but all panels are the original ones. You are correct, now, you can pretty much buy all the sheet metal pieces and start from scratch. Not cheap or easy...but available.
