New gig..

As some of you may know, Ive been a writer for about 5 years, mostly for the forums as well as some magazines. I was recently brought on by the Detroit Examiner as their sports car writer...and im very excited about it. :)

I published my first piece yesterday, and today i put up my first mopar related article...its more of a teaser leading into a series..
Top 5 Mopar Performance Models (<-click here for the story)

The examiner seems like a great company to work with, and they allow links of my choice in the articles, so Im able to send some traffic to the forum through my links!

Congrats! Is that an online-only publication or is there a printed version, too?

1 Bad Mirada 04-22-2009 09:20 AM

i believe that its online only. it seems to me that the examiner is spreading to cities where their major print paper is going out of business. in my case, the detroit free press is ending print publication.

I have been good. I too have a new gig, well almost a year old new gig. Since Harmon decided to move most of their manufacturing to China( They still manufacture the Infinity system in Missouri as far as I know), I had to find a new job. Now I am working in the solar cell business as an Automation Process Engineer. Fun job, but busy. That is why I haven't been on the boards much. Still have the Mustang, and have done more work on it.

Well, admittedly you can't get much more American than the U.S. flag and a Mustang. ;)

I hope there was also an apple pie sitting on the passenger seat to complete the experience....(and a picture of John Wayne taped to the dash)

i really would have liked to catch the flag waving the "proper" direction, but i thought that the flag shot came out great..

The only thing more american would be a Corvette with a picture of John Wayne, and an apple pie.

Welcome back Techman.

Cool pic, an American flag, Mustang and the dreaded stop sign.:p

here is my review of the 2010 GT! (click me!)

lear4406 05-01-2009 06:57 PM

Nice review. It states the truth of the car in the eyes of an eithusiest. 2010 GT is a good car period. But I do think the 315 HP is underated. More like 340-350. Nice interior.

1 Bad Mirada 05-03-2009 07:14 AM

ive also heard rumors that its under rated. this wouldnt surprise me, as other companies (dodge) do it was well...but ford has typically not been one to do that.

All Positive ,of course. I bookmarked the page so hopefully I will find it again-I get on a computer like once every 2-3 weeks in summer.

Congrats on your new gig. That is awesome and good news to hear!

Most of the time I am having most of my customers coming to me to see where jobs are at because they have lost theirs.

I am looking forward to reading some of your articles. Keep us posted so we can all read them.
