There's Always Someone Faster!
 

I saw this posted on another MOPAR and had to pass it on.

If you had a 2008 Chrysler 300 with the following goodies, you would feel pretty confident about racing anyone. Right?

HHP Level 5 Axle
Kooks Longtube and FreeFlow Cats
CMR Tuned By DynoTuned Performance (DTP)
516 RWHP | 520 RWTQ ALL MOTOR

Wrong! The Chrysler 300 went to the track and lined up against a Z06 Corvette. The 300 runs a great 11.84 @117 mph and gets its doors blown off by the Vette that runs a 9.94@139.97! [:o] It turns out that it was heavily modded and had twin turbos!!

The moral of the story is that no matter how fast you try to make your car, there is always someone faster.

So... the way I see it the Chrysler 300 just needs to add the twin turbos to the 426 and make another run at the vette... :D

There is always someone faster, just like the "Wild West". Whether it's the car or the driver, someday you will lose. Even the professionals don't win all the time.
Reminds me of the story a friend from one of the wingcar clubs told me many years ago. Seams he was invited to join the local Ferrari car club because his Daytona Charger was "exotic enough" to be a member............until that is, he started beating a couple of the "red" ones.......he was asked not to return.... What he never told them was that his "old" Dodge was not stock, even if it looked as such.
Moral....Never take any car, or driver for granted, you just never know when you will come up against a "ringer"

Both of those were both great stories. Makes you want to go out and make a sleeper.

I have a super heavily modded 69 VW ghia, looks all stock...
makes a 2008 911turbo look like its standing still.

I never get invited back :(
