I'm in NC and I won't be going.[X(] But... a co-worker and friend is going and has promised to take lots of pics of the Challengers and other Mopar stuff. He owns a 67 Chevelle SS and is a car nut. So I hope to have some pictures for the forum:) If any of our forum guys are going, please take lots of pictures. And be careful and have a good time.

Woodward Dream Cruise 2007: Chrylser Posted Aug 18th 2007 10:54AM by Chris Tutor Woodward is teeming with Mopars of every vintage this weekend, and Chrysler joined the party with a selection of old and new. While one of the largest draws is the 2008 Challenger display, Pentastar fans get to enjoy several classic dragsters with names on the doors like Wally Booth, Craig Breedlove and Ronnie Sox. Adults and kids alike gawk at the really big Hemi-powered Big Wheel and a couple of show cars from years' past like the Jeep Treo. Mopar also brought out its flat-black 392 Hemi Challenger recently seen at Autorama. Its light-absorbing paint contrasts sinisterly with the shiny, red white and blue of the vintage dragsters not too far away. |

I just got back from woodward, i will be sure to post up pictures later.
Oh and go ahead and say hello to the 6- speed 2008 Challenger as the spokesman talking about the car said it will feature a 6- speed manual transmission. That is music to my ears.. All i have to say is Woodward has to be a touch of heaven. |
RE: Who is going to the Woodward Dream Cruise tomorrow?
AMEN! Thanks for the good news!
Looking forward to the pictures. |
RE: Who is going to the Woodward Dream Cruise tomorrow?
Great!!! :D

RE: Who is going to the Woodward Dream Cruise tomorrow?
I hope this was an official spokesperson and wasn't just some model that was speculating.
|
RE: Who is going to the Woodward Dream Cruise tomorrow?
And hopefully, the 6-speed manual isn't the only transmission available. A 1968 Coronet R/T 440 Magnum with AUTOMATIC transmission convinced me not to ever bother with a manual shifter again. Never have, never will.

RE: Who is going to the Woodward Dream Cruise tomorrow?
i think that one problem is that there is really no "spokesperson" for the challenger...let keep in mind that its a BIG company...whoever was with the car is it was on woodward (we didnt bother going to the manu. displays) is just someone who wasnt lucky enough to get the day off of work...
i took a few hundred pictures...ill have to get them hosted up...this year, i tried to not just focus on a certain make or model, but rather get pictures of everything, so those who cant make it get a good idea of what its like. from burnouts to a mustang overheating right in front of us...i got llots of pictures. :) i was also pleased to see a few people taking pictures of the laser [8D] |
RE: Who is going to the Woodward Dream Cruise tomorrow?
Well it was a guy who was wearing a orange shirt that said Challenger on it. It was good enough for me. The guy gave his speech at about 12:30.

RE: Who is going to the Woodward Dream Cruise tomorrow?
i wish that they would just quit with the speculation nonsense and tell us what the plans are...[:@]
|
RE: Who is going to the Woodward Dream Cruise tomorrow?
Yeah, but if they did that, we wouldn't be giving them all the free advertising we are. :D
|
RE: Who is going to the Woodward Dream Cruise tomorrow?
we would stil be talking about the car, if we knew what was going on...at least i would!

RE: Who is going to the Woodward Dream Cruise tomorrow?
