Wierd Traffic Stop

I was stopped by the Highway Patrol from the other side of a divided highway. It was 7 A.M. on Saturday morning. The officer said I was doing "around 85" but "not really that fast". I had to offer to give him my license and my insurance papers. He asked me where I was going and some questions about the car, gave me my stuff back and said have a good day, and let me drive off. I was going to say aren't I supposed to get a ticket or something but just said thanks and drove off. He said he would be speeding if he had that car too. Nobody ever let me off like that for 20 over the limit. Must have been my lucky day for sure.

I don't want this to get out, because the higher ups might see prefable treatment. I passed a county cop going the other way on a 4 lane somewhere in America... i was at 85 MPH. He flashed the headlights up, pointed and then gave a big grin and a thumbs up. That was enough to make me slow down and put it on cruise control. But thats really unusual to say the least. I can tell you when I first saw him I puckered and can tell you what the seats taste like. I'm really trying to be a good citizen and promise to use cruise control often.

Not only are the police often Challenger fans.....they might be owners too:)

Many policemen out there are “car people” as well…and as long as you are not doing something stupid and are driving safe, they usually will treat you with respect, and in many cases they just want a closer look at your car.
I lost track of how many times I was pulled over in my Superbird, for what turned out to be a “wanted a better look at” type stop. Never cost me anything more than a bit of my time and a small heart condition each time the red lights went on behind me….

I've had them flip the lights on me at the gas station, then get out of the patrol car with that GRIN?
