RE: 1971 Dodge Challenger - Survivor Car - Original owner
Hi,
Thanks for your input. I am surprised myself that someone out there does not want a piece of Mopar History. Considering it is all original and in preserved condition, I thought someone out there would and could see and realize what an easy project this car is, as a survivor car and it being a great show piece. As well, being a 6 cylinder it is economical on fuel/gas, you could drive this car daily as another option. I would think a Mopar Enthusiast would love to have a Mopar that they could drive daily. I have invested several thousands of dollars into the car as well - new brakes and tires, gas tank cleaned out twice, checked out etc.- and the car drives well. It was never abused in its lifetime as this was a 1 Family Owner Car. I was hoping someone on one of these forums would be interested in saving a little piece of Mopar History, for the betterment and preservation of Mopar History. I thought this car was worth saving, given its uniqueness and original preserved state, but I guess I have misunderstood things. Especially given the economic times we are currently living - priorities change ideals - this is understandable. But in Alberta, Canada it is still booming economically here. I would hate to see this car be torn apart and a big block dropped into it, as many want to buy it cheap and tear it up and apart. I could and would not sell it to a person, knowing that someone will do this. So, I have decided that if it does not sell by mid September, as I have listed for sale on various forums, kijiji, car pages, and old ride.com I will send it to AUCTION in the month of SEPTEMBER. There are a few auctions here within Alberta Canada in the month of September and know that is always a good way of selling it. This way I do not know what the new owner will do to it and only hope it is preserved. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Thanks again to all of you for your interest, help, assistance, input & info. It was all appreciated. Sincerely, Bella Beeze Felicity |

Hey Guys,
Just found out that my car is one (1) of 443 produced in 1971 as per GALEN'S WHITE BOOK, given that it is a 1971 Deputy with a 225. So how much do you think my car is worth now? Would a COLLECTOR CAR AUCTION provide me with the means to get a better price? Would be interested in your thoughts and input. By the way, Antoon (Thedeputy) from the Netherlands advised me of this information. His comment on the Dodge Challenger Message Board is as follows: Frequent Poster Joined: 20 Nov 2005 Last Visit: 29 Aug 2008 Posts: 52 Location: The Netherlands Even fewer produced than 1672. It's a 71 deputy challenger. Only 443 produced with a 225 automatic. According to galens white book.
