SRT8 Charger for Sale

My '06 Charger is up for sale. It is black pearl with grey leather interior. It has all the goodies....sunroof, navigation, seat warmers, satellite radio, killer stereo with subwoofer and, of course, that 6.1, 425 hp hemi engine. Right now, it has about 12k miles, always garaged, no damage, never been smoked in and drives great. I have an order in for a new Challenger and want to sell the Charger now during the driving season. MSRP was in the mid 40's, including the gas guzzler tax. Letting it go for somewhere in the low to mid 30's. Car is located in the Denver, CO area.

Hopefully someone with the ability to garage it or from another state will be interested in it. I know winter is probably a hard time to sell a sports car here, though these days people should reconsider it. The blizzard that we got last year, my car did quite well, surprisingly, with the TCS system and such. Definitely a nice change from the muscle cars of yester year.

Forgive me, I just noticed the date of this.

To your point, the Challenger may even fair better in the snow, considering it has a shorter wheel base so that more weight can be placed on the rear half of the vehicle, right?

Snow, why would you drive this car in that SH**??? Mine will never even see rain.:D

RE: SRT8 Charger for Sale

True that, Paladin.

Mine might see the rain....I'll take it out on days w/ less than 30% chance of rain (same rule as my bikes).....

It'll see snow for a few reasons. One, because of my location in winter, two, because I'm not lucky enough to be pulling in a lot of money at my age or be able to save much money do to my wife's surgery and three, I only live life once, why am I going to use something that is meant to be taken out and have fun only once in a while just to sell it down the road or give it to someone else to enjoy? I say enjoy life to the fullest and to me, having my car sit there isn't me enjoying it. I'll have the pictures for the memories of how it looked, I'll have the first hand experience to be able to pass the stories down of how fun it was to drive.

Axel, who said anything about selling it?

Dude, I'll be a lifer with mine (I intend to pass it down to one of my kids) AND just because I'm not going to use it as my Commuter car (500 miles a week, 27000 year, 108K over 4, 216K over 8, and probably by car twice over for the fuel over 8 years.....) doesn't mean I'm going to let it collect dust...

Again, I have very specific things in mind for this car explicitly for enjoying it (Sunday rides with the family, car shows, occasional road trips....I will certainly take it to work once a week and use it on the weekend, but as far as using it up too quickly and rag it out....that's not my scene.....

And as for having the stories of how fun it was to drive....I don't intend to let "was" enter the picture...again...I will have it for life....in 2030, the trick, for me, will be finding some of that stuff they used to power their vehicles at the turn of the century, it was called...umhhh....gasoline..yeah that was it.

RE: SRT8 Charger for Sale

I was thinking about selling it in terms of when I'm to old to enjoy it anymore. My chances of having children to pass this down to keep getting more slim as time goes on. I'm young, but my wife isn't in terms of child bearing age.

lol. Understand, and unfortunately mine goes back to not having that luxury of being able to do all those things that you can do. I won't be able to drive two different cars, actually I should say afford, though me driving it to work isn't bad since I'm only seven miles and we have garages or parking structures.

I can only wish that I would have the money to keep this thing in a safe place all the time and take it out at my leasure, but when mine dies and I can't afford to fix it anymore, I would love to come see yours. lol.

Dude, I'm not scads rich or anything....I drive a Hyundai Elantra that I bought used with a 1000 miles on it (new in my book) that looked brand new for $10,000 cash from some guy in PA.

I did a lot of research...it was a better deal than a Corolla or a Civic, with pretty good power for a little econ box. So as far as the luxury, not really a luxury..just a necessity, I think the gas would put me in debt. 7 Miles? Wow, that's awesome. If I lived closer to where I work, I would certainly consider this as a primary transportation. I would love this to be my primary source of transportation, but I couldn't because I'm not rich. Obviously, tooling around in a hot car all the time would be much better than just Fridays. But, I just couldn't for a lack of practicality.

It will be like flying coach most of the time and every now and then getting to fly first class.
