2008 Challenger vs. Charger Super Bee vs. Concept engine compartment
Some of you will will remember these pictures I took over a year ago at the Texas State Fair.
So what differences do you see in the engine compartments from the 2008 Challenger to the Charger Super Bee. Now compare those to the Concept Challenger. I wonder how difficult it will be to get an aftermarket kit to convert it to a dual hood scoop induction intake. My guess is you will need to change out the hood or go to dual hoses for each scoop. Did anybody get any good pictures underneath the hood to see how the air intakes chambers are routed. RE: 2008 Challenger vs. Charger Super Bee vs. Concept engine compartment
i'm sure CDC or someone else will make a functional hood for it. I know when the 05 mustangs came out everyone started making a kr style hood right away, even for the 99-04 mustangs. aslong as the hood has the "port" to go straight to the airbox (3) the only thing that would matter is water. http://www.mustangmods.com/ims/u/1456/2202/223023.jpg didn't a company make a water proof kit for the rams with the viper style hoods??? i remember seeing a ugly black box with a uncovered filter...

Sorry that picture was too small for me to see.
Well I guess we will have to make those hole to the intake or maybe the 2009.5 might be a little different. |

So what good are they??

RE: 2008 Challenger vs. Charger Super Bee vs. Concept engine compartment
I guess they just look good...from what I saw, if someone wants to make a true ram air system, you will have to start with the hood scoop. The actual air inlet is nowhere as big as the mesh screen in the hood.. the current setup could not allow for much airflow....

I'm sure that you will be able to get something like that aftermarket if not custom if you want it badly enough.

Definitely a want but not a need. I will enjoy installing it though. Kinda like having forced induction without the expense. I hoping to see it on the 2009.5.
