Yep, it's on redletter now. Whose the band in the background (kind of like Godsmack with less gravelly vocals) This spot certainly retains some of the grunt trying to be gelded from the "Grab Life by the Horns" transition to the "Grab Life" tag line.

What I REALLY love about the extended version is that the guy in the '70 LAUGHS at the concept model. Obviously, old school rules!

 

I saw a similar commercial with a Porsche where a guy in a coma wakes up after 30 years and driving his Porsche he pulls up along side a new one and they are both gawking at the other car. It's a good formula.

 

Of course if we could find some modern incarnation of Tawny Kittain (sp?) to slide around on the hood while Wolfmothers pumps some modern-retro-70s jam to capture the 70's reinterpreted theme, that might not be a bad formula as well.

Jessica Alba might be a nice hood ornament to a challenger.
