Finished my exhaust mods

Finished my exhaust mods
Finally finished welding up my exhaust.
Swapped the front mufflers out in favor of Flowmaster Super 44s. Replaced the rear resonators with 2-1/2" pipe.
Have not driven the car yet, so I cannot report on interior sound. I'll report back when I have the data.
Have a listen:

RE: Finished my exhaust mods
I did the same exaust mod on my R/T automatic with the Flowmaster super 44's. However, I had an x pipe installed. All for a little over 500 bucks. The sound is awesome! I'll post video soon. Great sound on your Challenger. Also, this mod unrestricts your exaust, so expect some HP gains. Congrats! Interior noise is not too bad, some drone in the lower RPM, but just a sweet, low rumble at highway speeds. But when you punch it...beware, sounds like thunder was unleashed from under your car!

Don't know what's in front of the "suitcase" on the auto's, but my 6-speed has a factory H-pipe.
My total cost on this project was $185.00 (just parts...I took care of the labor myself).

No H-pipe in front of the suitcase muffler. Maybe because of the MDS feature on the auto's. The 6-speeds and auto's have always had a different set up with the 6-speeds having a "throatier" sound. With this set up on my Challenger, it still maintains a good low rumble when the cylinders deactivate down to four at idle.

I never considered the possibility of a Challenger sounding like a 4-banger at idle. I need to see some more of these cars in person so I can have a listen. Thanks for your input!
