Greg"s Stripes...
Greg... aka. 03HDFB asked me to post pics of the stripes applied to his 08 Silver SRT8 Challenger. I am happy to oblige because I am such a good guy... and besides they are looking pretty sweet.. ;) http://nwcomputech.com/images/Stripe_1.JPG http://nwcomputech.com/images/Stripe_2.JPG http://nwcomputech.com/images/Stripe_3.JPG http://nwcomputech.com/images/Stripe_4.JPG http://nwcomputech.com/images/Stripe_5.JPG http://nwcomputech.com/images/Stripe_6.JPG http://nwcomputech.com/images/Stripe_7.JPG I hope this is what you had in mind Greg... and I was so thoughtful I didnt even mention anything about the Black ones being fastest... :D |
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
I think I will do stripes as well. Not these exact ones, but close.
Nice touch 03HDFB |
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
I am with you Andre, I want stripes but haven't seen what I want yet. Jim |
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
I also think that a stripe would look better if it was higher on the car. Jim |
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
Jim,
Go to this link and scroll down and look at style C, and E. http://www.ridergraphix.com/challenger_upper_side.html I think both would look good on the silver. If you look at the gallery on the site you will see them all in application. |
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
I like the way it continues into the doorwell with the Mopar Emblem. Very nice.

RE: Greg"s Stripes...
Chris,
Thanks for the help....I hope it wasn't too much work! I'm still busy working mod's......Ran a 4.61 yesterday!! If I can get a better launch....the 4.5 is coming soon! Yes, ridergraphix have some great stripes....the best part is they will work with ya....get you what you want! All my other mopars were '70's....Love the '70 stripe! Brian and the fellas at rider's modified their R/T stripe so I could mix a little of the new gen with the old.....had the door Jam's done locally. Andre, I jumped in on one of your other posts....I'm quite interested in your tranny mods! If you have some time....I'd like to hear back from you! Thanks again Chris, |

RE: Greg"s Stripes...
I like how the strip tucks into the door and has MOPAR on it. nice touch.
|
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
I like the whole look too. Nice selection, nice workmanship.

RE: Greg"s Stripes...
Yeah, the mopar in the jam is trick.
|
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
I also like the door wrap, however I think the stripe should wrap the front lip near the grill / headlights, just as the hood stripe does.
|
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
ORIGINAL: MFIllini5 I also like the door wrap, however I think the stripe should wrap the front lip near the grill / headlights, just as the hood stripe does. The stripes are long enough to do so......put ending the stripes where we did....is where they ended on the original 1970 R/T. There is a body splice front and back.....where you have to cut the stripe.....it makes it a great place to splice and extent the stripe around the front as well as the back. I've been kicking around the idea of wrapping the back! |
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
I think it looks great the way it is. I think wrapping it might lose some of the class of the original style. Just my opinion for whatever thats worth... [8D] |
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
I don't want to sound like a jerk, I do like the stripes and how they come into the door jamb... but what's up with the S, in the SRT??? Kinda looks out of place... or as if it didn't have a place...

RE: Greg"s Stripes...
Thanks Greg, Very nice explanation of the purpose of the S in the stripe... although I think if you are familiar with the old school... you naturally came to that same basic conclusion... ;) Just seemed like a natural to me I guess... :) |
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
Man, I just may have to get me a set of those stripes. Did you put them on yourself?
|
RE: Greg"s Stripes...
Snap, I really like this. I'd love to copy your stripe but I ordered black. I don't think it'd look nearly as good on it.
