Museum trip pictures, as promised. 56k=death 100+ pictures
So I wanted to do some work outside today, but the weather was terrible, so we ran up to the walter p chrysler museum today, and here are comprehensive pictures, as promised. They have changed things quite a bit since last time. More pre-muscle era cars, plus some concepts that ive not seen before.
When you first walk in, this is what greets you..the chrysler chronos concept https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...DB23053320.jpg https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...16479AE46A.jpg https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...4828405940.jpg Next to it, the original chrysler lebaron https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...E43A60229E.jpg Behind the lebaron, a new yorker convertible https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...1F18DC60D8.jpg and a town and country convertible https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...DFD4E233B2.jpg if you look up, the previously mentioned center located pillar which currently holds the original viper concept, the thunderbolt concept, and the atlantic concept https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...7990AF378B.jpg the atlantic https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...CC65483ED5.jpg https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...CDBE82A17A.jpg the viper concept https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...754DEEFB5C.jpg https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...B35C7F4668.jpg https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...1447F6F7BE.jpg the thunderbolt https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...81AD0B88EA.jpg On the other side of the chronos concept, a decorative wall https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...21F4D4C8AA.jpg there is more stuff on the first floor, like the "Wall of history", but its so big, that i couldnt really get good pictures of it that would make sense...and there are some other very old (20s-40s) chrysler models...i didnt take pictures of those...sorry. When you take the elevator to the second floor, this is the what the inside of the elevator looks like https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...98F953E342.jpg https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...A13B512129.jpg When the doors open, this is what you see. (i had to make it crooked to fit https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...D3EA56A693.jpg another shot https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...0119798B8E.jpg the second floor is what seems to change the most...my understanding is that these are almost all privately owned, and are submitted for a few months at a time. an imperial coupe https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...FE9695946C.jpg a hudson hornet https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...39422CB97A.jpg a lebaron pace car https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...92813D85CA.jpg a bare k chassis https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...B73BD694BA.jpg a 61 300 https://dodgechallenger.com/forums/u...F498F9AF2C.jpg and its engine, the 426 cubic inch wedge with the cross ram, making 375hp. |

Thanks, that's great!
Okay: Dad had the AMX when I was little, Mom had the Cordoba in '77, I almost got that '68 Charger for my 16th birthday. All different colors, of course! |

I seriously question that 1982 sign that shows the annual income and price per gallon etc.. Somebody made a mistake on that sign by about 20 years.

i know that there is a website that tells you what the prices of things were in various years..i will say that in college, around 1997, i was paying under a dollar a gallon for gas...i remember walking into the house one day, complaining to my roommates that the price of gas "went up over a dollar a gallon...this is ridiculous"..:D
