Museum trip pictures, as promised. 56k=death 100+ pictures

So I wanted to do some work outside today, but the weather was terrible, so we ran up to the walter p chrysler museum today, and here are comprehensive pictures, as promised. They have changed things quite a bit since last time. More pre-muscle era cars, plus some concepts that ive not seen before.

When you first walk in, this is what greets you..the chrysler chronos concept

Next to it, the original chrysler lebaron

if you look up, the previously mentioned center located pillar which currently holds the original viper concept, the thunderbolt concept, and the atlantic concept

there is more stuff on the first floor, like the "Wall of history", but its so big, that i couldnt really get good pictures of it that would make sense...and there are some other very old (20s-40s) chrysler models...i didnt take pictures of those...sorry.

When you take the elevator to the second floor, this is the what the inside of the elevator looks like

the second floor is what seems to change the most...my understanding is that these are almost all privately owned, and are submitted for a few months at a time.

awesome post. I'll have to upload some pics of the Viper when it was the Indy Pace Car, being driven by Carol Shelby around the track at Indy.

Thanks, that's great!

Okay: Dad had the AMX when I was little, Mom had the Cordoba in '77, I almost got that '68 Charger for my 16th birthday. All different colors, of course!

Thank you very much for sharing those with us Patrick. The last one was certainly one of the most interesting.

I seriously question that 1982 sign that shows the annual income and price per gallon etc.. Somebody made a mistake on that sign by about 20 years.

Your right, I didn't pay much attention to that. 22 cents a gallon in 1982? No way Jose! The price of a loaf of bread looks off as well. The average income also looks low as well.

i know that there is a website that tells you what the prices of things were in various years..i will say that in college, around 1997, i was paying under a dollar a gallon for gas...i remember walking into the house one day, complaining to my roommates that the price of gas "went up over a dollar a gallon...this is ridiculous"..:D

I remember that! The dumb thing is when gas was at its lowest at $.88 in my hometown, my brother was still complaining that it should be at around $.35. I told him that we were very lucky to have $.88 per gallon, I've never wanted be proven incorrect more in my life.
