RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
Yea, but could it be any more BORING!!!
|
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
Yeah it would have been nice if we saw a stoplight race with the Mustang.

RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
Are those Michigan plates? If that's Michigan where's the snow? Has it been a dry year up there?
|
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
Boy I'm glad it was'nt me driving that SRT-8 Challenger. I'd be famous for the first stop light race caught on film and plastered all over U-tube. That guy would of been famous as the first shot heard round the world in the pony car wars part 2. That Cobra would of went down. But that man has more good sense than I do and thats why he test drives for Dodge:D

RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
Was it the camera angle or did it seem like the Challenger was huge compared to the mustang?
Bob |
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
totally with ya on that. looks like a real car and its little kid brother.
we got snow down here in va! |
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
yea the challenger looks like a tank side by side with that mustang good lord should be pleny of room in that back seat for various activities
|
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
Certainly has a visual dominance next to a mustang...
|
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
yes it does
|
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
I'd like to see it next to one of the recent mustangs.

ORIGINAL: jh27n0b Was it the camera angle or did it seem like the Challenger was huge compared to the mustang? Bob We will be seeing more of that stuff on the road this summer. |
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
The Cobra looked itty bitty next to the Challenger, like half the size. Looks like even big guys should be able to fit in the Challenger comfortably. It's not one of those cars made for midgets. I thought the video was fairly interesting. I'm mesmerized by pretty much all Challenger videos.

RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
One thing I still remember about my old Challenger is how low it sits to the ground......even as low as a Vette back then.
I wonder how low this one is in comparison. |
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
last saturday, amanda was driving somewhere early in the morning when she came up on an unbadged challenger, with M tags and the srt wing, but NO badges, all black car, and black wheels...when the light turned green, he roasted the tires and drove away.
|
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
I never could really hear the challenger rumble. I could hear the cobra's exhaust, I could hear the GTO's engine but it was like srt8 was on a Sunday cruise. A couple of times in that long boring clip I thought I could hear the challenger, but then I would hear a gear shift. Oh well I want my 08. Has anybody checked status today?

ORIGINAL: 1 Bad Mirada when the light turned green, he roasted the tires and drove away. I tell ya, Saturday in Idaho Falls must have been "Get Your Vette out of Storage and Drive it Around Town Day" I think I counted 4 or 5. (vette's aren't that common in I.F.) (Mustangs are more common) (We participated after a while.:)) 1984 silver Vette with a 350 crossfire. |
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
It almost hit 60 here today . I got my 07 shleby out its about 450 horse and all I could think about was how nice it would be if it was my challenger instead . I checked my status and it hasnt changed still seting in C . Im also really looking forward to the automatic I know a bunch of you guys love the sticks but it gets old wth all the shifting in my opion.
|
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
yea the 05-08 stangs are a little bigger than the 94-04 stangs but still the challenger would look like a stout beast next to one
|
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
Im also really looking forward to the automatic I know a bunch of you guys love the sticks but it gets old wth all the shifting in my opion. Me, personally, I can't wait to drop the clutch and hold on for dear life! ;) |
RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
Now that people are seeing the difference in size I think they'll appreciate why the Challenger is in a higher price range (although not much) than the Mustang. You are getting more car....a real car, that you would comfortably enjoy even on a trip as well as cruising. Plus you get performance on par to what the Mustang is capable of. That Mustang did sound real good though. The guy in the Challenger showed some restraint, that's for sure!

RE: New Dodge Challenger caught on road
yea the challenger is basicaly a 2 dr full size car comparing it to a mustang is like comapring a A body like a 69 cuda to a C body
