Hmmm...This is probably a result from the fact that their "High Feature" Engine gets such lousy fuel economy. What they ought to do instead is add GDI to their 3.5L "High Value" engine as it would be able to get the fuel economy they want. The turbo 2.0L is not that fuel efficient (26mpg auto and 28mpg manual under the new ratings in those tiny cars) and by using that in the Camaro, it could take sales away from the Solstice and Sky. The 3.5L is already more fuel efficient and with GDI it would boost both the fuel economy (which is already about 29mpg in a large sedan using an automatic) and power.

Camaro doesn't seem that much smaller than the Challenger....wow! Good luck Chevy!
