Anybody like 50s style kitchens? I found 50s style fridges, stoves, chairs, booths, etc. online.
What kinda kitchen do you like best?

 

What kind of fridge is that? I'll take ANYTHING over the piece of junk, vertical-freezer, alleged icemaker-and-front-door-cold-water-spout GE "refrigerator"l we have now. The 1932-model fridge (which I think was a converted icebox) I had in my first apartment in the 1970s was better than this piece of crap.

 

It's a retro 50s style Northstar fridge made by Elmira Stove Works.
I think it costs $3,000. The range costs $3,000 too.

They cost a lot but they are so nostalgic (even though I wasn't alive in the 50s).
I noticed today that Big Brother 10 has their fridge & range in their kitchen.

Haha I love all that stuff. I love those old diners.

 

even tho i grew up much past this time in history i do love to go to old school dinners and eat...just a good time...i also love it when they have old cars out just takes me back in time.

 

Our Fridge, range, and dish washer are all over 16 years old.
Our microwave is 26.
our last dryer and washer lasted a few years. then died on us.

Moral of the story: Old stuf runs better the new stuff. Or they don't make things like they used to.

 

Another movie for you to rent, tdub: "The Hunter," which was Steve McQueen's last movie. His best line in it: "New things are no good. Old things are better." Truer words were never spoken.

 

And I have always said, "Live in the past finish last" LOL
