Never mind - I figured this out. The console cover slides but you gotta push it hard for the first time - it's stiff from the factory.

I was wondering the same thing but this evening, I just used a little firmer grasp and it slid from one detent to the next. It just took more effort than I thought. I think I like the original position the best and it probably won't be moved again. The longer legged you are the more rearward position is best and I'm not that long legged. To me it doesn't make enough difference.

Moving it forward just seems to make it interfere with shifting and puts your arm in an awkward spot... at least for me.

I'm 6'2"
when I'm no drinking coffee or driving fast I have it forward and my seat way back.

left wrist extended over 1130

right elbow on center consoe
mac dre at vol level 26
