Default Just picked up my Challenger RT in Blue

Well it was getiing the Camaro SS or the Challenger Rt
I seen that most of the Colors are everything except blue on ebay and
at most dealers.
And the Dealers that have had the blue are mostly V6s or V8s with automatics..
Anywayssss
I went to a dealer that had 3 challengers 2 oranage and 1 blue
I asked the salesman what he wanted,,,sales man said MSRP and nothing under.
I told the salesman that there are Challengers on many dealers lots not being sold
but I guess he did not care.
I told him ask your sales manager would he take $2000 Under Msrp before I walk out the door.
He came back and said I had a deallllllll.
Msrp $35,975
My price $33,975,,,I am sure I paid a few dollars over invoice but by not much I feel..
Manual trans
20 inch wheels
6 boston acoustic speakers 276 amp
heated seats
leather seats
3.73 axle ratio sun roof
Rt side decals among many other good stuff......
Car runs better and feels better then my 2006 Stang Gt.
As for the Camaro,my heart was not in getting and waiting for the car......
I knew the color I wanted and got it....Sales manager says that they turned many people away because of the credit crisis.
He said he still could get people loans on cars but at a very high interest rate and I was
one ofthe few he had no problems with since I put $23,000 down cash lol

She drove great going home.
Yep saving $2000 off of the Msrp make me feel better lol
It was kinda dark out so I could not play with any of the toys on the dash....
Makes my old 2006 Stang Gt look and feels like a load.
The had a Orange Rt at $31,500 with manual trans and I know I could have knocked $2000
off of that....But the car came with Cloth seats 18 inch wheels among a few other things...
BUtttttt I am glad I got the Upgraded Challenger Rt,,,,,Only thing it does not come with is
the navigation type system they have.
I am glad it didnot come with one...
I had a Shacker 1000 boom box in my old stang that cost $1300 that I never used....
I think the car is a great car,,,and hope Dodge will stop making them next year so our cars will be worth much more lol....

Qualude-
Congrats - I don't think you will regret your decision. Glad your dealer was willing to work with you
Hope you are in a location where the weather allows you to get those break-in miles on her soon.

Again - congrats!

Thanks,,,,I hope to get a few miles on the car tomorrow.
But up in the Poconos area I will not want to drive this baby
with all the road salt on the roads after it snows.
Many people on here wanted to complain that I wanted to look at the Camaro SS
before buying the Challenger Rt.
It was funny I was going to wait for the camaros to come out.Last night I was checking what Rts were near me in blue
(only 1}
But since I spoted a BLUE Rt about 30 mins from me,I felt why not check the car out.
How could I say no with them coming down on their price?
I am sure the Camaro will look good, but I am sure the Challenger will look just as good.
Tomorrow will be the last day for a nice ride,I think the winter months with lots of snow are coming.
The car will not touch the snow till all the snow and salt is gone......Thanks

My husband really thought hard about the Camaro too - but several things led to the Chally purchase. 1) The camaro's late arrival (if and when?) 2) Still a "1st year model" when it finally does arrive (I'm not a fan of first year makes (no offense to the 2008 owners) 3) The Chally is so much truer to its history - the Camaro looks like it is modeled after the original 4) Not as many bells and whistles as the Chally (some don't care - I likey) and finally
5) I said "no" to the Camaro - I said it had to be the Challanger and it had to be black[sm=devilangel.gif] Maybe while you're out tomorrow you can take a few sweet snap shots and post later when it is cold and snowy.

I don't think you will regret your decision - It's meant to be - God wanted you to have it[sm=happybounce.gif]

Yep I will try to take a few pics tomorrow....
Whats the problem you don't like the challenger in blue lol
I have had Black ,green, red and silver stangs....
But I need a different color......
Since its a dark blue I thought its a good change............................................
Maybe its just me ,I think that there are more Blacks,Orange,Silver and white Chalengers then Blue..
Maybe its me lol?.....Enjoy your evening.....and enjoy the rest of 2008

Sweet deal. I suppose the blue is made less than other colors. Budman would probably know. I have a blue Durango (1998). I have always been partial to that color. My son (25 yers old) says it's a "girly" color. I disagree. I used to use that color a lot when I was building model cars as a kid. Anyway, I would like to see your pics.

Congrats on the car, 'Ludes. Now if Chrysler goes down the drain tomorrow and announces that there will be no replacement parts ever for any of the new Challengers, don't come claiming that we twisted your arm.
