I was wondering if there is a breakdown on the number of cars produced in each color. And if there is where I might access it?

 

If you just want a rough percentage, you could probably be close using the percentages on the registry site. As an example, the site says that approximately 12% of the 2009 cars are Torred. Just divide the total produced by 12% and you would probably be in the ballpark. I don't know how many have been made this year, but I am sure somebody on this site does.

 

If you want to play with numbers you could figure amount of cars also.
Only aprox 1/20 2008 are registered. With that number you can figure
That there are 20 X 434=8680 2009 SRT8 so far.
You can figure about half of them are manual tranny.

I have seen alot more black car's than any other color on the road.

 

I've got to agree with this. But then, I've only seen three black Challengers on the street, out of a total now of nine.

 

Hard to believe you've seen so few Challengers in a larger city like San Antonio. Since I've had mine (November) I average at least 1-2 sightings a week here in little dinky Shreveport (not counting the other ones I see everyday that work here on base).

 

While out in my Challenger, I've only seen 1. A black R/T with a pinstripe down the body line. I gave him a big wave and he gave me no time of the day. Oh well some folks are not so into it

 

You gotta keep in mind that S.A. is under the best of conditions a poor city. And working downtown like I do keeps me out of the wealthier areas. Most of the new cars you see here are rentals.

 

Here in Vegas I think I have only seen 9 Challengers in the wild other then mine,

1 at local Donut run / car show (silver)
2 live out bt me (1 black, 1 silver)
2 at my work (1 silver, 1 Orange)
2 on the North side of town (1 orange , 1 TorRed)
1 saw an attractive woman driving one on my way to work (TorRed)
1 One pulled up next to me on the side street outside my work (Black)
