Default 1970 Challenger 17" Rims Q?...

Ok so I have a 1970 Challenger T/A clone that I'm going to get painted and finished up when I get back from Iraq in a few months. Since it is a clone I'm going with a modern color (Inferno Red Pearl Metallic, still a Mopar color) and 17" rim (Cragar 17" S/S rims) combo. My question is if any of y'all have 17" rims on your 1st Gen Challengers what backspacing and what if any mods did you have to do to get them to fit? I'm looking to not have to do anything to car, just need the right wheel tire combo to fit.

Thanks
Daniel

I wish I could give you an answer, but i don't know. I've heard this asked plenty of times on different forums and was always given a variety of different measurements back. I too would like to find out, in the future I would also like to go to a 17in rim. I do know that Foose makes a direct bolt on challenger rim that is 17inchs that might be a start in the right direction. If you find out please post it.

Be safe out there and good luck!
