Yeah, Paladin. I found the vent. That thing is huge! Is all that dirty external air pouring into my AC? Man, I want a filter...

I looked at mine last night and it looks like it will take more than just a filter. Looks like it may take some type of bracket kit to put the filter in. If the 09's have the filter in it, I wonder if they have a kit we can get to add it to the 08's.

Good news. I just talked with Ted at Moparsupercenter and ordered a cabin air filter kit for my Challenger. They had some for magnum, 300 etc... that I asked if would work on Challenger and he didn't know as he thought the Challenger had a filter in it. Anyway, he got his car (found out it didn't have one) and tried the kit and it worked so they'll be updating the web page in the near future for Challengers. Thanks for him taking the time to check it out and letting us know.

Thanks for the update. I'll order as soon as I get home. Yea, that remote start thing bothered me as well. I've already ordered the kit, not yet released.

I gotta tell you that I feel Dodge needs to have better quality control of their cars. I have been reading posts over the last several months about bolts missing or pieces under the hood missing, or how about that filter.

This is exactly the type of garbage American auto manufacturers cannot do if they really want to compete agains Japanese cars.

Totally unacceptable especially in the business climate we are in.

So all we need to order is the 4806294-AA kit for a 300 or Magnum and install it? Does this come with the air filter cartridge?
