tskatz, where is your dealer? That sounds alot like the dealer I dealt with. The only 2 options my car as are the 6-speed w/track pack and the 20" chrome wheels. He had a silver, black and titanium grey all optioned just like that.

RE: And they wonder why?
With the financial problems that Chrysler and the other two Big Three are having, no one should be charged a price that is over MSRP for any vehicle....better to cost profit on one unit and sell more, than to let stock sit on the lot unsold..................

It depends on your location and how well off it is. A dealership that is close to where I live has an automatic R/T for $31,740 that has a few extra options, but pretty much no mark up. Given I know its an automatic and I know we were discussing a manual, but if you look in the right places, you'll find a deal and this place rarely ever has big sales. So I guess the moral to this is that the ones who give big discounts and big sales also have big mark ups.

Thanks guys for all the response. And I'm still in the looking mode... but its hard not to pull the trigger and get one. I have a few more financial transactions to make and I will be ready to go. And a short trip on a plane would be cool. Then drive that beast back for the time of my life. I will go to the dealer in SC on Fri. loaded with my E-Bay finds on paper, but I will test drive it before I make them mad Then try to show them that they are expecting way too much for their Challengers. So tune into the news on Friday and see if you hear of any antics in a new Challenger

Double post sorry I for one would like to thank those who are waiting it out. I think our message is being heard and I can see the results on E-Bay. Prices are starting to come down as well as reserves. But there are still some nuts on there who have not got the message. I saw a Buy It Now on an SRT-8 2008 at that for $75,000.

SOME PEOPLE just don't understand how things go ...
If a dodge dealer 10 miles away from another one sold an SRT for 20k over ... there is no logical buisness move to sell it at MSRP.
Some states it's impossible to get one for invoice or MSRP at that , but it's not Dodge's fault ... blame the people paying that much because if you were a car salesman and had a car you could make 20g's off of if you keep it around a few months ... I think that's what's goinna happen , which is why you don't see many of theese on the road yet.

I paid $500 below MSRP for my Black R/T Six speed with every option other than the sunroof, someone had ordered it and couldnt pay for it when it arrived. That was around 3 weeks ago, of course the dealer went out of business 4 days after I bought the car!
