Default RE: Need help, key stuck in ignition!

Ok, here's what happened. The guy there said that in the 27 years that he has been there, he has never seen anything like this. The other mechanics there haven't either. Here's straight from the service order:

"Customer states trans won't go into park. Removed shifter cable from the trans and found trans to be bound up internialy," yes, that's how it was spelled, "Removed the front pan and shift shaft range sensor and park rod. Found parking pawl to be operation, range sensor is cracked. Found manul valve to be stuck in the valve body bore found park rod to be on wrong side of range sensor and casing bind condition that led to manul valve getting stuck in it bore.
Replaced the valve body and range sensor reassemballed the pan and filled with fluid. Road test and verify trans is operating normally at this time as is park."

That was really hard for me to type it like that and I have to admit that I added some punctuation to it, though I did my best to try and keep it as original as possible. lol. Through that whole thing there was really only one period.

Anyway, from what they said it seems that the factory, or someone at the factor if it wasn't a robot, installed something wrong. Definitely hoping that it's the end of something that bad that's for sure. What a headache.
