Default Greetings from AZ!!!

Greetings from sunny Arizona! I just picked up my 1973 Dodge Challenger with the original 318 (92,000 original miles), 3 speed slapstick auto, lime green (for now) about a week ago. It runs pretty good, though needs some little work here and there...I was thinking of getting a new one, but this fell into my lap at a great deal, so I couldn't pass it up. Besides, the old ones are much easier to work on, right?? Anyway, I'll post some pic's of it in the next few days, and try to keep a running tally of it's "rebirth." Thanks for the site, and I look forward to getting some greasy and some good advise!!

Thats a cool ride! The 72 and up Challys dont get the props they should! I would drop in a 340 or crate motor however for a little more umph!

Thanks all. Right now I'm living in Yuma, AZ. I'm going to keep the 318 that's in it, just ordered a new intake/carb for it, try and fix it up some, and see what I can come up with.

Funny I was just reading an old Mopar Muscle magazine and they had a build up on the venerable 318! A simple cam swap and some flow basics can make it a pretty rockin powerplant!
