Handling at high speed
I have a 09 R/T 6 speed. I don't think it handles at higher speed like it should . Has the Good Year all season 20 inch tires. Doesn't like rough road at higher speed. Or is my alignment off. It sure isn't a match for the 71 R/T 340 I had new .

If it's not better than your 71...it has issues...take it back to your dealer and have it checked out. If that doesn't work, bring it to a tire shop that knows what they are doing, because something is wrong.....

I have the F1 goodyear supercar tires. The srt handles great, the problem I found at high speed is the tires tend to track the grooves worn in the road from big trucks. This sort of gives you an uncomfortable feeling. That is probably what your feeling. I believe it is tire grip and down force causing the car to track the grooves like it does. High speed should be attempted on a good road that is safe to do so or a track.

Maybe more fun in the fact you were younger and didn't know any better. There is really no comparison in the suspension or handling in the two of them. At around 120-140 my old cuda would really start floating up and down. The new srt challenger sticks hugs the pavement a high speeds.

Nah, I don't mean that way, 70sguy. I meant the 70s were a LOT more fun because you could actually USE the cars. Because of the cost and the complexities of these machines, most of us DON'T actually use them as a car should be used. I'm guilty of this. I KNOW Paladin is extremely guilty of this 
Heck, I got my car in September and have 1118 miles on it. We all have in the back of our heads that somehow, these machines are going to become collectors' items (which they may or may not) and are treating them like museum pieces.

Yes I think the pavement is a big part of the problem. They put down rough concrete and then take a grinder to take the high spot's off . Leaving the curvy grooves in the road. I did have a Harley and it was really bad riding it on that pavement. I will get the alignment checked anyway . I have over 4000 miles on the car. It is ok till I hit 100. Then feels like on marbles. I put Yokohama Advan S4 size 245/50 /18 on my wifes 300C . That really helped the handling with it . But they don't make 20's . But the shop that mount the tires from Tire Rack checked the alignment on the 300 and it was off a little . And drove much better after .

I have to definitely agree. I have never owned a vehicle that drives as good as my SRT either. The f1 supercar tires really grip the road. I'm sure all performance tires are similiar, but I can only relate to the F1 Goodyears on my car.
