Supposedly, my local dealer is asking 10,000 over list for his. Say's the dealers are limited to only one per franchise, on the B5 Blue.

Along with the R/T classic they have/had a Spring Special for B5 and detonator yellow on the SRT-8. It probably will end up being very limited numbers, although 10K over sticker is stupid. You can have it painted whatever color you want for less than that.

Yeah. And if you're going to get it painted, have it done in Plum Crazy.

Unhappy

10K over list, they have got to be kidding, in this day and age...with the current state of the auto industry! And, dealers wonder why Chrysler is having problems keeping its head above water when they continue to keep filling the lifeboat with water (hurting sales)…perhaps they should just focus on selling more cars at a “fair price”, rather than inflating the pricing on models the customer really wants…maybe they would make more sells and in turn more money…and would not be turning off future customers, who WILL go to GM and buy a Camaro at a fair price (if Chevy dealers can keep from following these Dodge dealers lead). But then I guess some of them will never learn!

The only trouble is, Joe, that there WILL be people who will pay the markup. I've said from Day 1 on this board that nobody should ever pay more than MSRP for ANY vehicle. All that doing so does is keep the prices for everyone else inflated. If a dealer wants to mark up a Challenger, let the thing sit on his lot and keep shopping around.

I agree. I paid under MSRP because of a screw up and the dealer making it right.
