Smile Trip to the Dealer

Today, for only the 2nd time in a year, I took my Challenger to the dealer for the upgraded battery and ground cables. After they ran my VIN, the following items came up:

* Customer Satisfaction Notification J21 (battery & cables)

* RRT 09-037 (Replace wiring harness to heated seat)
* RRT 09-043 (Reprogram passive entry/keyless go)
* RRT 09-073 (Reprogram powertrain control)
* 16-point vehicle inspection

I took an extended test drive after the work was performed to check on the reprogrammed PCM and was pleased with the results. Throttle response seems improved and there is no longer heavy engine braking during deceleration.

I also checked to make sure they installed the correct battery and vented it properly. Also, I checked the rocker panels to make sure that they did not crack on the lift. Everything was fine and the service manager complimented me on the mint condition of my SRT.

just had mine into the dealership for a "missing front wheel hub nuts" recall. Didn't seem to pull anything else up for issues, the electronic specialist that worked on my previous car, came over and chatted for a bit going over all the headaches they had to deal with over 09' V6 Challengers.... he's pleased to hear I purchased a 10' Challenger and convincingly said "you'll be WAYYYY happier with the 10' model..." which I am.

I too have had mine in for the cable and battery replacement. I told the service writer not to mess with my ecm because I had a tuner chip on it and if they tried to install an update they would more than likely mess my ecm up. They agreed not to mess withit but told me they would need to do updates in the future. I told him I would put the stock tune in when they needed to do this. I don't mined being upfront with them on this and feel its what is necessary when you are too lazy to put the factory tune back in. LOL.
