Default Backup warning system installed

I just had Affordable Classics in Torrance California install my backup warning system. The sensors work down to 2 feet. This should help keep my bumpers from getting chipped from the gentle bump that can occur. I bought the kit from Mopar.

Default RE: Backup warning system installed

I am awaiting delivery of a 2009 SRT-8 Challenger and was reading an article at allpar.com

which at the end lists all of the available Mopar options including the backup warning system which would like to add to my car once
it gets here.

Can you tell me what you paid for the system, and how difficult it was for the dealer to install it?

Did it put your car out of service for a long time?

It sounds like a really great option/feature to have.

I tried to see if it I could add it to my car now but since my car was already in production and is already set to be
shipped to my dealer it was too late to add anything to it.

As hard as it is to see out of the rear of the Challenger, I'm actually considering getting a backup camera. That might work better than the warning system.

The sensors had to be color matched to blend in perfectly with the bumper (they look great). Parts and labor including "kit" ran about 990.00. I did not go with the camera for 2 reasons. 1-I wanted to keep my eyes on "other things" as I was backing up; and I felt "why not use my hearing to guide me" 2-sometimes there is not enough light for the cameras to see clearly. These sensors work great because there are 4 of them spread out across the bumper. When I hear the beeps turn into a steady tone, I know its time to stop. Easy.
