As German put it "he has a few tricks up his sleeve". LOL. Obviously there's a little more there...but you cant expect everyone to give up all their secrets.

Honestly I was hoping for better than what my car ran but I think both cars did good considering it was my first time out this year and Im guessing your second? Im sure both will pick up a lil once we get them dialed in a bit more.

I am pretty much max'd out with what's on my car. Actually I think everyone would agree it is an over-acheiver. With that being said, my next upgrades will involve a converter and posi rear. Then as soon as the cam's come available for these motors I am changing out that too. I already have a deal going with a cam/head on a sponsor sort of deal. They are so impressed with the RT's performance they want to get their head and cam in my motor since they know I race every week and post about it on several forums. I can't tell who it is yet, but as soon as I get it installed there will be a full writeup with actual track data showing the difference.

I am sure if we were not running into the headwind you would have been close to the 11's. Looking at my slip from this week compared to last I should have been a high 12.30/low 12.40 based on what I picked up on the 60 and 330 foot marks.

It is shaping up to be a fun, action packed summer and I will be sure to let you know when I am heading over to 42. I had a good time even though I lost. I think you know it is all about bracket racing for me anyhow.

I bet you had the Mustang guys watching you in the street car lanes. Most of them were running high 13's and 14's.

I think a converter, cam, posi, longtubes (if you dont have them),and heads the R/T will be seeing 11's N/A, I might get there but im suffering from a lack of displacement,281 cubes just isnt alot to work with and I might build a shortblock next winter.I dont know if you have a head sponsor or youd have to pay but I can recommend an excellent crew to do your heads if you have to pay (ask me how id know!).

Like I was telling you in the pits I honestly thought Id see a 12.3x-.4x out of your car, that was the number I was expecting you to pull and at that point even if my car ran a 12-teen its all on the tree then. We just didnt have track conditions in out favor-Lousy starting line (I thought so anyways) and racing into hurricane Katrina (watch the burnout in the video).

Yeah there were a couple Mustang guys trying to figure out what makes my car "tick". Nice guys but dont have a clue-esp that older guy and his crony. They want pointers, ask and then when you tell tell them they dont want to hear it-oh well

I gotta tell you...germansheperd is a good guy that was just yanking our chain for some fun. We hung out the whole day at the track and I could tell we were both good sports and it would have been the same regardless of the race outcome. I look forward to racing with him more this summer. Whenever you have a fellow car nut meeting you at the track it adds to the fun. I bet this is one of the first times an internet keyboard race between two strangers actually went down.

I live about 25 miles East of Youngstown. So I am about 1.5 hours away from you. Dragway 42 (Germansheperd lives 7 miles from there) is another 45 miles or so from my house. But for me it's all highway driving. Thompson is about 45 miles for me also. You should come over some time and we can hook up at the track for some racing and grilling out. The tracks over here are very acommodating to the average Joe racer.

FYI.....I am trying to get a converter in by next weekend.

Hey guys....we have some lurkers posting over on the Mustang forums about us now. They are not slamming us or anyting, but it seems no one believes my RT ran 12.58 on the motor (and 11.79) with 100 horse shot. The funny thing is many people locally has seen my car and I welcome anyone to inspect it since I am at the track every week.

Germansheperd....you need to go over there and tell them you seen my car and can vouch for what it is. Also....they have some questions for you on your car. I tried to post but apparently I dont have privledges for that. Also....guys, I posted videos on youtube of my challenger running 12.58 on the motor from last week and 11.81 from this past week on 100 horse shot.

If you had little car knowledge and went to their Forums... you would disbelieve it too. They connot believe a car that weighs 6000 lbs could turn those times. I have seen our weight thrown out there as a reason to not buy a Challenger on the Mustang Forums and Camaro Forums. Now the Mustang has a right to brag about their light self. But the Camaro at 300 lbs less is a slap to the face. The Hemi is the equalizer. Your times prove that this car is a good package and with a few mods you can be in the mid 12s. That is major mods for GT guys or time to go to FI. Which the General is now into on a stock basis. Wow, lets just supercharge it and leave so much more on the table. I do like Dodge for keeping it NA and letting the tuners and individuals make that choice.

I live in Ohio and dont worry about it im pretty thick skinned, this was all for fun and games-maybe a few laughs too, sometimes we all act like kids. LOL I dont know when I'll head back up to Thompson but either Tony or myself will tell you next time I head up-its a trip for me (92 miles each way) and if I didnt commit to running him I wouldve stayed home when my local track closed.

Quick Reply: The Ford 4.6 was to much for the 5.7 HEMI N/A
