RE: 6.1 in an R/T?
I knew this thread would get some reaction. To me, painting an SRT is just as expensive (to do right) as installing a 6.1, which would probably be used. I would do the install at a dealership (have a friend at one) so it could be documented as done correctly. Plus, this way the car remains reversible, where paint would not be. Most likely not goingto happen but interesting musings...

Bro if you've got the means man go for it, just don't drop the coin on a new car to start "chopping" it up or sanding and painting... find a steal on a used one in a few months and skip the 6.1 and stroke the 5.7 and drop a new street camshaft in it... You'd be somewhere extremly close to 500hp maybe slightly higher...

The R/T HP is pretty underrated .... BMC in West Palm dynoed 393 and that's great !!! There was also a dyno on an SRT and it dynoed 450 total hp so who knows but I do know many dynos have proven the r/t isnt 370 wait tull the predator!!!
