There is a piece of weather stripping forward of the hood latch loop on the underside of the hood itself. Is yours still there. Suppose it could also be a scrap that inadvertantly got left behind by a careless worker.

Check for missing weatherstrip materials.............if you cannot tell right away, compare it to another Challenger.
Do tell the dealer so that they can order a replacement weatherstrip if needed.
I cannot imagine that it will not effect the operation of the car.
Sht happens to a new car I guess.
(My 2004 Mercedes Benz had this type of falling waetherstrip in the first month too.)

As I was pulling up to get gasoline Monday afternoon, the guy on the other side of the pump says, "Hey! Great looking Mus... (then he glances down at my side stripe) Wait! That's a Challenger!"
That's why I have the script insignia on the side.
Oh! We got the Official Fat Guy Seal of Approval. My wife and I were rolling through downtown San Antonio a little while after I got fuel, an ENORMOUS man standing on a corner waiting for the light to change yelled, "Great car!" and gave us the thumbs-up. Thankfully, he didn't ask to take a test ride. The Challenger is a big car, but it has its limits. [&:]
And two other modifications are done. I now have the SRT-R/T gas cap and fog lights. Next up: Paladin06 has thoughtfully provided a link for a parts supplier that sells script badges actually made for the grille!
