Default Options on my New 2009 Challenger SRT8??d

I am about to take delivery on a new Challenger SRT8. I am a bit confused about the options but I am told it has pretty much everything.
It hasn't arrived yet but should be here in a few weeks. I wanted to check with others who have or know more about the Challenger and ask
some questions, if I may, about the available options. I hope this is the right place to do that. I am very excited about the car. The Challenger
SRT8 is coming with:

Customer Preferred Package 22X
6.1 SRT Hemi V8 Engine
5 Speed Automatic Transmission
Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat
Monotone Paint
Premium Leather Trimmed Bucket Seats
Dark Slate Grey

Something Called Schedule D to C Tracking
245/45ZR20 255/45ZR20 Performance Tires
AM/FM/CD/DVD/HDD/MP3w/NavRadio
50 State Emissions
Power Sunroof
SRT Option Group II
Includes Full Tank of Gas
Gas Guzzler Tax
8 Additional Gallons of Gas

I am told that it will also have the Bluetooth Technology for the Phone.

I currently have an Iphone that I use out of my office and home. Will the Iphone interface with the car or do I need a separate phone or
does the car have its own phone built in? I used to have a Saab that had its own phone (OnStar) that would ring all on its own.

I don't mind getting a separate phone if I need to that will work with the car because the idea of having a phone to work with the car is great.

My Iphone is cumbersome and annoying when I am driving right now and doesn't work with my present car.

I am excited about the prospects of my new Challenger SRT8 and would appreciate any info or tips.

Thanks!

The U-connect lets you set up your cell phone to be answered thru the car and Mygig system. My wife set it up and if either of us are in the car with our cell phones, the cars system lets us talk thru it. Just press the U-connect and answer or press it and tell it to dial. Very handy. I don't know anything about Iphones. The manual tells you how to do the cell phone deal.

05flhtcse, please check this out for me as I to want to know how this works. You say your wife set it up and my wife has a very new Verizon cell phone and I wonder if it will work with this " U-connect" option in my 2009 R/T . The way I read the book any cell phone has to be " Blue Tooth capable" to make it work. Do you or your wife know if this is true or will any cell phone work with U-connect ??? Thanks for anything you can clear up for me[sm=thanx.gif], Fat Cat [sm=gears.gif]

The phone has to be able to hook up with any bluetooth. It really doesn't have to be Verizon just bluetooth capable. We just happen to have Verizon. Look on your phone under setting & tools scroll down and our bluetooth is #7. The car wants you to be in park when you pair the phone & car.

I know engines and transmissions. I know wheels and tires... struts and sway bars. I can mod the heck out of a car, even a radio... but this blue tooth and I phones has got me perplexed. I am out of the loop I knew the day would come... just not so soon[]

Yes, your iPhone will work with it. It's not hard to set up at all, just follow the brief instructions in the owners manual and you will be all set. Basically, you push the uConnect button and it waits to hear from your phone. On the iPhone, go to Settings, then General, then turn Bluetooth on. The Iphone will detech the Challenger and your follow the prompt to enter a 4 digit code of your choosing. That's about it.

Just happened to pull out the owners manual for my old 73 Duster. All 61 pages of it... a fairly light and easy read. Then there"s the Challenger SRT8 manual... a whopping 385 pages... on the computer in an Adobe pdf file... boy how times have changed... [8D]

Basically all you have to do is turn on bluetooth on your phone and the button on the car will find it.

My 2006 minvan has it and the button are on the review mirror. The voice prompts in my minvan were sufficient to set it up.

Cool technology if you have never used it before. It even does a good job of getting rid of road noise when the other people on the phone are talking to you. That don't hear the road noise you hear when you are in speakerphone mode. Also automatic dialing of phone numbers works nice. You just say "Home" and it dials it. I just wish you could say "hamburger" and it would appear.

Here is another option question. I downloaded the manual for the SRT-8 2009 and I noticed it mentioned a Garage Door Opener feature.

Is this a standard feature on the SRT-8 up by the sunglass holder?

My car will have the Customer Preferred Package 22x but don't know what that includes.

This car was already on its way to the dealer when I decided to go for it.

It would be great if it had the built in garage door opener.

It does have the NAV System and Bluetooth phone (as above).

Thanks!
