Default Speed Review of Challenger Today

Speed Channel is doing a review of the Challenger this afternoon Saturday at 5:30 Central time - not sure when other areas will see the program.

Naturally, right when I start watching "Solar Storm" (New York braces for a solar storm) on the Discovery Channel's "Perfect Disaster." Oh, well, the Challenger IS the priority. [8D]

It was a cool half hour segment.

I have it on my DVR - watched it twice and wont be deleting it.

It was cool seeing them bring it up to 170 MPH on the dry lake bed.

The car performed/behaved great on the race track (08 auto & 09 stick) but really loved watching it on this track when they turned the ESP off and were drifting around the turns.

I'm stoked and can't wait. CANT WAIT, CANT WAIT.

Come on build my car and deliver it!

Hope I go to D1 on Monday - Please, Please, Please!

I'm right there with you bro. I have been built since the 19th and by all accounts believe the car should be on a railcar headed for here. The last status point for Detroit and Chicago Interchange are now gone and delivery has remained steady for the 8th. IM JUST DYING as I want some real drive time while the weather stays good. My kids are now asking daily and so are a few of the guys at work. Its almost like having one of the kids...WOOHOO Im ready for the GRIN as THE CAR is almost here.

I watched part of that show, where they were showing Jay Leno's black Challenger SRT8. The funny part about it was that I watched it at my nephew's house. What made it funny was that I had driven my own black Challenger SRT8 over to my nephew's house to pick up a pair of complimentary tickets he had for the local drag races that evening. I parked in front of his house, and went and knocked on the door. His son let me in, and I walked into the living room, and they were watching the Speedvision show about the Challenger. They were going nuts over that black Challenger, and saying over and over how bad ass it was. I didn't say anything about what was parked outside, and just kind of agreed with them about how nice the car was. After the show was over everyone walked outside to go to the drag races, and there was my black Challenger SRT8 parked right in front of their house. Talk about people having their jaw drop on the ground. Its going to take me a week to wash the drool off my car now, LOL.

The Challenger is definitely a head turner.

MoparToYou,

I love that story. What shock value!

SKIDs,

I wish I knew a way to copy from my DVR to other equipment/storage - If I could, i'd share it.

Your welcome to come over my house I'll share a half hour and a couple beers.

I think there is a way to copy from DVR to a thumb drive. I'll check into it.

One way is to burn it to a DVD recorder. Then explore the DVD drive for the vob file, then copy it to your thumb drive.

You will need something that can read a vob file type like WinDVD etc. Just know that VOB files can be rather large. Like a 30 second clip can easily be 64M.

Copying from a DVR to a thumb drive, well that capability has to be built in to your DVR.
