Default three short trips this morning.

I went out to run a few erands this morning and each time I came out of the store a person was standing next to my car and checking it out. I know this is not unusual but I have had the car since November 4, 2008 and this still goes on almost everyday. I have never seen such interest in a car. I wonder if this will happen to new Mustang or Camaro owners?

I'd imagine Camaro will get some attention, simply because the car hasn't been in production for a few years. The Mustang, I'd imagine, would get very little, just because about every fourth car on the streets is a Mustang.

That is why I will NEVER own a Mustang.
I tell ya what. Every time I see a Challenger on the road, I crank my neck till I can't see her anymore.
The fact is.
They're cool lookin. Relatively new. And just plain catch your eye.
It's new, refreshing and different than all the old Rustangs.

I dunno, tdub. Sometimes, it's a relief when I can drive around anonymously in my Mustang. When I have it, other people pay attention to their driving instead of to my Challenger.

My Challenger is my only car at the moment. I have had more conversations this week with absolute strangers just gravitating to it. I may miss this attention when it stops, i'm used to driving sharp cars but nothing has ever touched the attention I get in the Challenger. I have owned many a Mustang and they have been very good cars. All mine were V8's except a 1980 six cylinder, automatic that was originally my grandfathers car. My grandmother gave me the car when he passed away in 1989 with 6000 miles on it. I kept it over ten years and finally sold it. The 1980 models were not so great. It was relilable but not really collectible. The 200 six was weak in 1980. Heck everything affordable was weak in 1980. Those cars drove like a Granada. My first new Mustang was a V8 LX in 1988. I loved the 5.0's. I have owned several new V8 Mustangs since including a new 2005 which was the year of the current bodystyle change. It got some attention but nothing like the Challenger. I don't think the 2010 Mustang will be very noticed as much of a change by most people. The Camaro (which I did consider) will get attention. I will be surprised if GM does not build and put many more Camaro's on the road than there are Challengers especially V6, 300 horsepower model Camaros. I have never seen a V6 Challenger on the road in Alabama. I have driven one at the dealer here in Birmingham but they wanted $2000.00 over sticker for the car. That was in October 08 and I went to Atlanta on November 4, 2008 and bought my R/T. I decided I was optimistic on election day. I have made several trips to Atlanta and to Tuscaloosa, Alabama (my hometown) I have 4000 miles now with no real problems.
