Vinyl top for MCG SRT Challenger
Mopar Collector's Guide will be giving their Mopowered Tour SRT Challenger a "make-over" for next year that will include a repaint in Go Mango Orange, a popular '70 Challenger color. In addition to supercharging, new wheels, etc.......they will be also installing a '70s style SE vinyl top, complete with small window. Having owned two 1970 RT/SE Challengers I can tell you that with a 70's type small SE window it will make your stock Challenger's rear glass look and seem like a "picture window". Talk about the added fun backing up will be, as well as lane changes......
This brings up a question.....has anyone seen a new Challenger with a vinyl top? I have seen a couple with painted tops, but no vinyl......could be the start of something......

C'mon, Cuda, vinyl tops were cool. Except that they faded in the sun. And that the vinyl would crack. And that salt would get under them and rust away the metal. And that they were a cheap way to disguise the fact that a car had been rolled. ...
All that aside, I still am glad my '70 had a black vinyl top when the car was painted Plum Crazy. That would have been just too much purple. When I eventually had the car painted '82 Corvette White, though, the vinyl top was the first thing to go.
