Challenger in Top Gear Magazine
Checkout the June 2009 Issue of Britain’s “Top Gear”.
They have an interesting article and comparison between America’s three pony cars: The Challenger, Mustang and the newest member…the Camaro. Even through the new Camaro comes out on top in their article; the Challenger was the one that they really fell in love with. In fact they almost chose the Challenger as their 2008 Car of the Year. (The VW Scirocco win out)
Here are a few quotes from the article:
• “The Camaro is the most sophisticated to drive, no question. But the ‘Stang is more fun and the Challenger is the one that grabs your heart”
• “The dynamism of the Mustang and the Camaro’s sheer ability show the Challenger up for the quarter-miler it is”
They were using an RT during their comparison, and nothing against the RT, but the results would have been very different had they used an SRT…….
Check it out……(Perhaps you may want to buy a Starbucks coffee, sit and just read the article at your local Barnes and Noble, as the magazine costs $11.00) But, if you enjoy English cars…..just buy the issue……
