Default RE: YES, I'M A BAD AMERICAN

^

I was born here. I didn't come here. I'm not an illegal alien trying to change laws.

"Likewise, if you don't like my faith, you're welcome to not practice it. But PLEASE, don't infringe on my right to do so, and don't ridicule me for my beliefs and way of life. You demand that much for yourself, don't you?"

Here you say everyone should be able to believe what they want.

"It is a reflection of our origins that we have "God" on our currency - the blood that runs our economy, mention him in our Pledge, swear to him in our oathes, and keep him in our daily lives. When we turn our back on him in our lives, we turn our country in another direction - one that wasn't intended by our founders and one that didn't make this country the greatest in the world."

And here you say we have to believe in god for our country to go in the right direction. You seem to be under the impression that every American is Christian. And that the people who believe what I believe, are all from other countries, coming in trying to change things. I already agreed that God is an important part of our history, and that he was needed to get to where we are today. But so was slavery. Our entire human history is based on things that we did that we now regret.

All I want is for everyone here to be free, and not have their daily lives influenced by other people's personal beliefs. That's it. That's all that I'm asking. Pray at church, not in schools, let gays be gay and let people watch their pornography.

It is exactly as you said, "Likewise, if you don't like my faith, you're welcome to not practice it. But PLEASE, don't infringe on my right to do so, and don't ridicule me for my beliefs and way of life."
