RE: Challenger Availability
BAP_WORKER do you have a numbers of production vehicles or even a clue? I have been hearing between 2000-4000 SRT-8 versions and then no more than 10000 for the first year. My cousin who works at Chrysler told me to be prepared to be gouged at the dealer for the SRT-8. I put my money where my mouth is and put a retainer down on a Challenger to ensure I get a low production number, prefferably an SRT-8. My cousin also told me that that was foolish because the dealers could care less about putting down cash now - they will still sell to the highest bidder. Well, I sure hope not. I am starting to get discouraged. I want an SRT-8 version, but am now beginning to think only movie stars and Corporate executives will be able to afford the mark-up. There has to be a way to get an early producton vehicle without being screwed.
Any thoughts -
