Dude thats a SRT-8 Charger.... Come on..
SOP for new models on an existing / mildly modified platform (LX / LY).
As the article stated, the nose bolted to the Charger body is to test airflow / aerodynamics. You can clearly see
here that the panels don't line up smoothly - the Charger doors stick out more than the Chally fender where they meet, so I believe that there was never an intent to make this look like the production Challenger will when ALL of the body panels are completed and on the chassis. As stated, this is only as
test mule.
The mule looks like what we all said we expected to see (so far, anyway)
with the wheel and tire size change for clearance. (I'd like to see the same style wheels and brake calipers we saw on the concept).
Still wouldn't hurt my feelings if they changed the rear taillights to look more like the 1973 Challenger. I know, I'm asking for trouble saying that.......... Sorry. I think that's a much more aggressive look, and quite worthy of the new car.
