RE: Why are these car considersed "Chick Cars?"
The Mustang was originally marketed by Ford as "The Secretary's Car" because of the size, look, and price. Kinda explains the "Chick Car" moniker.
The other cars you listed - I can't explain.
Around here (in Upstate NY), based on the numbers of them that I see, almost all of the young men want / drive an Eclipse (my Step Son has one - it's in the garage more than it's under his @$$ - LMAO!), Honda coupes (Accords or Civics), and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions.
"Chick Cars" here primarily include Honda Civics, Toyota GTs, VW Jettas, Minis, Dodge Neons, Pontiac Solstice's / Saturn Skys and Chevy Cobalts.
Adult men seem to prefer pickup trucks, Dodge Chargers, Magnums and 300's, Chevy Monte Carlos, and Jeep Wranglers.
Adult women seem to prefer minivans and SUV's (soccer Mom's).
Aside from "fleet / business vehicles", I think a car's "status" as being a "Chick Car" or otherwise is regional and changes depending on where you live.
