Default RE: Car and Drivers version of Spied: 2008 Dodge Challenger

ORIGINAL: awsure

I guess I don't follow...why any uproar if they release a Chrysler Cuda? Or a Challenger "Cuda" trim package? Honestly, it boils down to marketing. I would have ZERO issues with either of those options & I actually think they are totally plausible.

Back to the topic...anyone hazard a guess as to where they are driving these? I would love to roll up on one.
It seems they were damned if they do or damned if they dont. Perhaps they feared a backlash from consumers and magazines, or the numbers would not add up. It would not have bothered me having a Chrysler cuda on the market, but Chrysler is more of an entry luxury brand, so it would have been interesting from a marketing standpoint to see how they would market a `cuda. But the aftermarket would be foolish not to make a kit for it.
