What kind of carb are you running on the car and is it set up. No leaks, vacuum or gas? And did you change the plugs and wires? Also a compression test would go a long ways to tell what kind of shape the cylinders and valves are in. Also .... did you use a timing light and if so, does it have the capacity to check advance???
