RE: 340 or 440-6
Lear, Let's not forget that swapping a 440 into the spot where the 340 was isn't a slam dunk.
1st things first, you'll have to get another transmission if it's auto or at least a bell if it's 4 speed.
what about suspension? do you have sway bars? what size are your torsion bars? disc brakes?
Do you want it to handle the same? Stop the same? Not for free...
The 340 will rev, the 440 will torque, what gears do you have in the rear?
Do you already have a 26 inch radiator?
On and on and on.
What's the REAL cost of a swap?
