It sounds like they are just repeating a common rumor. Given that it will not be a large production model for the UK, they might only offer the top engine they are planning on using. I guess they have concluded that the people in the UK don't really want an auto.
The ME412 was a good idea especially in changing Chrysler's image; however, I would have done a few things differently. For one, it shouldn't have used a MB powertrain. That turns off Chrysler customers and makes models fail.
The Firepower should be pursued for sure. The only thing is they need a different transmission. Given that Chrysler is a luxury orientated brand, they need to have an auto for all levels. From what I have read the W5A580 cannot handle the level of torque that the 6.4L will produce. I sometimes wonder if they shouldn't make a special version of the V10 available for it to compete against the supercar/luxury class.
I would have produced the Tomahawk as well, it probably would have been popular enough to make a profit.
