RE: Anti-V6?
I seem to remember the 1969 Road Runner. But I think the base motor was a 383. You could get the Hemi or the 440-6 but it was an option. The 383 Road Runner base model had rubber mats, no power anything and an AM radio. No frills street bruiser. The Duster comes to mind, but I think the 340 had the all the bells and whistles. The feather Duster was the base and I think it was 225 slant-six with a manual 3-speed. Thats the latest year I can think of that they offered a no frills base priced street racer. 1970 they optioned up and priced themselves out of what worked. Guys coming back from Nam wanted a cheap power house and the 1969 Roadrunner fit the bill nicely. Beep Beep!!
