The R/T option, again, is very attractive. Anyone ever evaluate the K&N Air intake upgrades? Are they actually good for a boost in HP? If so, that's an easy enough mod to do in an afternoon and undo (when you need warranty service).
The K&N CAI adds a very modest increase (according to what I've read, and from friends who use it on the 5.7L powerplant). That
along with the DiabloSport Predator re-programming adds (again, according to a friend who uses this combination of "mods")
about a 10% gain in HP. I believe you can do both of these "mods" for around $700.00.
As you noted, both are easily reversible for warranty service.
