Default RE: KITT=MUSTANG...That's just wrong

ORIGINAL: TechmanBD

I think it is just wrong trying to bring the story back, They tried in 2000. Remember KITT 2000? These F"N writers want even more money than they get now and ruining thousands of peoples jobs by striking, but they can't even come up with something original. F them all[sm=icon_beat.gif]
You definitely have a point. I'm getting sick of seeing nothing but rehashed old ideas. This show was a good one, but I'm not convinced they should keep relying on the 80s for material. I have almost stopped watching television because I'm sick of the unoriginal approach at everything. Certain shows have grown long in tooth and have become a forum for the writers beliefs using(SNL), other shows rip off of other shows and think that innovation is in being offensive and disgusting using worn out humor that wasn't funny the first time around (Family Guy), other shows are just rehashed versions of other shows that lost any interest they may have had in the beginning over simply flooding the market (Law & Order), other shows were humorous but lost it due to not paying the actors/actresses what they wanted and got lousy actor/actresses as a replacement who lack any personality (Monk), other shows are based on a false "reality" which is completely illogical as it isn't real and television is supposed to take us away from the stresses of our ordinary lives (reality television in general).

The sad thing is I find myself watching things on independent websites with writers who offer original material that is actually funny and the best part is it is free without any commercials. I also have a collection of DVDs from shows through the 80s and 90s of shows that were actually funny. Why wait for a writer to mess up the plot and story line in a new movie when I can watch the original. When I heard about the writers going on strike I thought "Good, now maybe this will be a chance for the independent writers who actually have talent and a sense of humor to break through and make television interesting again."

Sorry that your wife is suffering from this, TechmanBD. I hope it doesn't last too long. Just please avoid making references to certain words is all I ask.
