RE: Would you buy the V6?
I currently have a Ford 3.8l Super Charged V6 and I really like it. It's fast for it's class. It's in a Thunderbird MN12 frame and has a lot of ability for the weight of that car.
Back in the 70's Dodge did offer the Challenger with an I6. For those who wanted the look of the E frame with better fuel economy it was there for them. The V6 isn't a real mussel engine by itself but not everyone wants the ability to go 105 all the way to the packy. I think Dodge would be crazy not to offer it.
I've never owned a pony car when I was a kid because when I finished school the country was in a recession and nobody could get a good job. I went in the military and they kept shipping me overseas so by the time I got out the Challenger was a bit taboo because gas was so expensive. Now I'm 50 and I have a chance of owning a brand new HEMI Challenger again... Christ what’s next, a mini skirt come back by 2009?
