Well, you have to admit that NEITHER the concept car nor the production car looks as good as the 1970 and '71 models because the new cars (particularly the front end, when viewed from the side) look a LOT bulkier than the original graceful lines. Personally, I never liked the '72-'74 models because of the changes that were made in the front end and in the taillights. However, if I now came across a '72-'74 that was in good shape and had a reasonable price, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. Which is exactly what I'm going to do with an '09.
Same reason I like the concept better. Why do all cars look alike these days...why is the front end so short and sloped down? Aerodynamics?
