I wouldn't care if they dropped to high performance V6's or dropped some horses off the V8's to make them more fuel efficient. American cars in general need to drop weight. There's no reason for a sports car to be over 3500lbs now a days.

Average weight of a sports car should be in the 2800-3250 range.
