Default RE: Rumors- Who to Believe?

ORIGINAL: cncpt2prod!

I have this feature on my 2007 Jeep Cherokee Limited (Hemi). I can start it remotely using the key thing, but it doesn't do the proximity unlock (need to unlock by pushing the button on the key thing).
It's not the same feature. You are talking about Remote Start which starts the vehicle remotely. You also have an ignition key (which was eliminated on most 2008 models and replaced by an electronic "key" that inserts into an ignition slot in the dash). The new feature is called "Keyless-Go" and features a button on the dash instead of an ignition slot. Keyless-Go/Proximity entry will be available on the 2009 R/T and 2008-2009 SRT Challengers, in fact I am pretty sure it will be Standard. It will also be available on many 2009 Chrysler vehicles including the Grand Cherokee and Commander. Like most Chrysler vehicles now, the new Challengers will also offer Remote Start.
